FOR BIDS

The Berkeley County
Emergency Ambulance Authority, hereinafter
referred to as the Owner, invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the BCEAA Station 98 Addition. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Owner, 400 West Stephen Street, Suite 207, Martinsburg, West Virginia 25401 until 4:30 p.m.,
local time, on March 25, 2021. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room.
All attendees must wear a mask and practice
social distancing.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. local time, on March 16, 2021 at the Project Site, 7146 Winchester Avenue,
Inwood, WV 25428.
Attendance at pre-bid conference is non-
mandatory.
As the result of the
COVID-19 pandemic requirements, all attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Each bid shall be
accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minor informalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contract for 60 days after opening bids.

The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall execute and deliver to the Owner within 10 days after the award, and before signing the contract, a Performance Bond and Payment Bond utilizing the bond forms bound in the Project Manual each in a penal sum equal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bonds shall be included in the bid.

Contractors shall comply with all applicable national and state codes and
regulations listed in the
General and Supplemental Conditions.

Pursuant to Chapter 21-Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor
Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State, the Contractor’s WV License number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction contracts and agreements.
