Workers’ Compensation Agent RFP
The Ohio County Board of Education is soliciting proposals to select a Workers’ Compensation insurance provider to meet the needs of the system. The Board currently has a workers’ compensation insurance policy, but future needs may necessitate adjusted coverage.
Qualified firms are invited to submit an RFP to the attention of Mr. Rick Jones, Assistant Superintendent of Ohio County Schools no later than 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the administrative offices of Ohio County Schools, 2203 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003. RFPs must include a statement of qualifications and experience including but not limited to past experience with the OCBOE and other Boards of Education. Please mark the front of the envelope as “RFP – Workers’ Compensation Agent”.

An OCBOE approved selection committee will evaluate the RFPs and may make selections for interview candidates based upon qualification experience and background. Following interviews, the selection committee will submit recommendations to the OCBOE for further review, discussions, possible follow-up interviews and approval. Upon selection and approval of a firm, a contract will be executed between the successful firm and the OCBOE for the services requested.
The OCBOE reserves the right to reject any or all RFPs actually received and to award a contract for the requested services in any manner deemed to be, in its sole discretion, in the best interests of Ohio County Schools. Bidders must complete and sign both the Debt Affidavit and WV-96 (Agreement Addendum) to be considered in the evaluation process
