INVITATION TO BIDDERS
The Weirton Board of Park & Recreation Commissioners is accepting bids for the replacement and installation of its commercial grade on-deck swimming pool slides for Starvaggi Memorial Pool & Park, 144 Starvaggi Drive, Weirton, WV. Bids should include the complete cost of materials and labor and all information concerning warranty application and compliance. Bids should also include all information regarding safe play and use of the slides. Mail or deliver sealed bids marked “SMP Slides” to the Weirton Millsop Community Center (WMCC), 3420 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062 by Tuesday, April 5, 2021. Sealed bids will be publicly opened in the office of the executive director on April 5 at 1 p.m. To make arrangements to see the current slides and to take exact measurements call Executive Director Coty Shingle at (304) 797-8522. To receive detailed specifications and a bid packet, please call, or stop in at WMCC. All applicable licenses and permits must be supplied by the successful bidder.
Only original bids will be accepted, no faxes. Bids must include the signed and completed bid sheet, notarized non-collusion affidavit, and the Worker’s Compensation affidavit, if applicable by bidding company. All proposals received must have “SMP Slides” indicated on the envelope.
The contract to furnish the above items as herein advertised will be awarded by the Weirton Park Board to the firm or persons submitting the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Park Board.
The Park Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable.
