PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED CHANGE
IN RATESFOR WATER SERVICE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Ohio County Public Service District (District), a public utility, proposes to change its rates, fees, and charges for furnishing water service in the Counties of Ohio, Brooke, and Marshall, West Virginia. The proposed change will increase the current average residential bill by approximately $12.96 or 31.0% and result in a projected increase in annual revenues of $1,174,571. The proposed changes to the District’s current rates are as follows:

The District also proposes adding the following new term to its tariff:
EFT, CREDIT CARD, AND DROP BOX PAYMENTS FOR PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICTS
A service charge will be imposed on EFT, credit card, or Drop Box payments. The amount shall be equal to the actual charges to the utility from the financial institution for processing payment. No additional charge or fees shall be collected by the District for accepting these forms of payment.
The Board of the Ohio County Public Service District will hold a public hearing at the District’s office, 5383 National Road, Triadelphia, WV, on April 7, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. concerning the adoption of the proposed changes to its rates, fees, and charges with a final vote on adoption to occur immediately thereafter. Any interested parties may appear at the foregoing public hearing and be heard with respect to the proposed rates, fees, and charges or may submit written comments in advance of the hearing to the Ohio County Public Service District at the following address: 5383 National Road, P. O. Box 216, Triadelphia, West Virginia, 26059. A complete copy of the proposed rates is available for inspection by the public at the District’s office.
