INVITATION TO BID
The City of Weirton is accepting bids for the following:
SANITATION CAB, CHASSIS AND 25 YARD COMPACTION UNIT
A Pre-Bid Mandatory Conference Meeting concerning the above items will be held at 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at the Public Works Facility, 100 Tell Street, Weirton, WV 26062.

Sealed Bids will be publicly opened at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, February 27, 2015, at the Weirton City Building, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV 26062.

Bids must be received by 9:30 A.M. on Friday, February 27, 2015, or bids will not be accepted.

Firms or individuals desiring to submit bids on the above items may obtain detailed specifications and requirements by contacting the Public Works Department, 100 Tell Street, Weirton, WV 26062, or by calling 304-797-8540.

Please be advised that a Five Percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) Bid Bond, completed Bid Sheet, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and State of West Virginia Affidavit, must accompany all bids or bid will not be accepted.

Bid Bond may be in the form of a Certified Check drawn on the bidder’s account, and made payable to the “City of Weirton”.

All bids received must be submitted in a sealed envelope and designated as:

“Proposal For Sanitation Cab, Chassis and 25 Yard Compaction Unit”, and delivered or mailed to:

“CITY OF WEIRTON, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV 26062.”

In accordance with City Ordinance No. 973, a Five Percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) preference for resident vendors shall be in effect.

The contract to furnish the above items as herein advertised will be awarded by Weirton City Council to the firm or persons submitting the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Weirton.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable.
