Notice of Request for Proposals
for a Feasibility Studies and Space Needs Assessment for Combined Public Safety Facility for The City of Weirton

The City of Weirton’s City Council is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Feasibility Studies and Space Needs Assessment for Combined Public Safety Facility the City of Weirton, WV. The goal of this RFP is to solicit a Statement of Proposals from planning, engineering, and architecture firms that have expertise in housing issues with respect to:
1) Identifying existing and future needs of a Public Service Facility;
2) Assessing the existing location conditions and issues;
3) Identifying new potential locations; and
4) Identifying if the existing location could support some departments while relocating others.

The consultant shall draft a study that specifically addresses the City of Weirton’s current and future facility needs. The study will include and address deficiency assessment, space needs analysis, technical needs analysis, site evaluation, phasing of construction and utilization, programing guide, develop conceptual site plans, provide preliminary budgets for hard costs, contingency funds, and soft cost, and other areas determined by the consultant that will allow the City to fully understand the departments needs in a new facility. To respond to this RFP, interested parties should respond by (a) sending a simple email with a statement of interest, and any requests for clarification by 5PM EST by June 18, 2021; and (b) submitting a full proposal no later than 5PM EST Friday, June 25, 2021 in a sealed envelope labeled:
“Feasibility Studies and Space Needs Assessment for Combined Public Safety Facility” to Terry Weigel Ward 7 Councilman at the City of Weirton, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, West Virginia 26062.
