Wheeling Water
Request for Bids

The Wheeling Water Department is requesting bids for the purchase of the following vehicle:

1 – 1 Ton Single Rear Wheel Cab and Chassis

The specifications for the vehicle are available at the Wheeling Water Department, 1500 Chapline Street, Room 112, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-234-3722) Bidders are advised to use the available bid sheets.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The Bidder must list any and all exceptions to the specifications. Exceptions must be listed on a separate page(s) and attached to the bid sheet.

Bids must be received no later than 2pm January 14, 2015. Bids must be mailed or hand delivered to the City Manager’s Office, Room 302, City County Building 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling, WV 26003.

All bids shall be good for a minimum of 90 days.

The vehicle being supplied shall be new and of current production model. City of Wheeling will be the initial title holder.

The vehicle shall conform in every respect to the requirements of the West Virginia Motor Vehicles code and shall be equipped with all mandatory equipment under said code, whether specifically described in these specifications or not.

The manufacturer shall warrant the vehicles to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a minimum of three years. The dealer shall replace or repair any defective parts at no cost to the City of Wheeling, including labor and travel time required to make repairs.

All vehicles must meet current Federal Pollution Emission Standards.
