No.: WV0040541 Applicant: PAX TOWN OF SANITARY BOARD PO BOX 118 PAX, WV 25904 Location: PAX, FAYETTE COUNTY Latitude: 37:55:19 Longitude: 81:15:49 Receiving Stream: PAINT CREEK Activity: To operate and maintain an existing wastewater collection system and an existing 0.06 million gallons per day wastewater treatment plant. These facilities are to serve a population equivalent of approximately 600 persons in the Town of Pax and environs, and discharge treated wastewater through Outlet No. 001 to Paint Creek, approximately 30.2 miles from its mouth, of the Kanawha River. An antidegradation review has been performed. Tier 1 protection is provided for the uses specified in Title 47, Series 2, Section 6. Business conducted: Municipality Implementation: N/A On the basis of review of the application, the “Water Pollution Control Act (Chapter 22, Article 11-8(a)),” and the “West Virginia Legislative Rules,” the State of West Virginia will act on the above application. Any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit and may request a public hearing by addressing such to the Director of the Division of Water and Waste Management within 30 days of the date of the public notice. Comments received within this period will be considered prior to acting on the permit application. The Director shall hold a public hearing whenever a finding is made, on the basis of requests, that there is a significant degree of public interest on issues relevant to the Draft Permit(s).
