REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND INTERIOR REFURBISHING OF EXISTING GUEST ROOMS AND HALLWAYS OF THE KLINE WING OF WILSON LODGE AT OGLEBAY RESORT IN WHEELING, WV.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the WHEELING PARK COMMMISION, hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will be accepting Request for Qualifications until 5PM on July 9, 2021 from architectural/interior design firms to provide professional services for design, plans, specifications, development of contract bidding documents, oversight of the bidding process, construction administration and observation for the architectural and interior refurbishing of the Kline Wing of Wilson Lodge at Oglebay including architectural design, F,F&E, MEP, Life Safety, etc.
A tour of the guest wing is scheduled for Wednesday, June 30, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Interested parties should meet in the Wilson Lodge Lobby.
Request for qualifications should be submitted to Mr. Curt Byrum, Director of Capital Projects for the Wheeling Park Commission, 465 Lodge Drive, Wheeling, West Virginia 26003.
All proposals must be received by the OWNER no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, July 9, 2021. One (1) original and four (4) copies of the proposal (5 total) must be submitted addressed as follows:

The Owner shall evaluate the statements of qualifications and performance data and other material submitted by interested firms and select three design teams which, in their opinion, are best qualified to perform the desired service. Interviews with each of those teams selected shall be conducted from which a winning team will be chosen and a fee negotiated.
Please note it is the intent of the Owner to choose a designer and award a contract in such time to allow for construction bidding no later than mid – November 2021 with construction bidding and award in December, 2021 and construction beginning January 2022.
