POTABLE WATER STORAGE TANKS COATING AND REPAIRS

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the
coatings and repairs of the City of Martinsburg
Potable Water Storage Tanks will be received, by the City of Martinsburg, at the office of Mark Baldwin (City Manager), 232 North Queen Street, 2nd Floor, Martinsburg, WV 25401, until 2:00 pm local time on August 18th, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.

The Project consists of Cleaning, Blasting,
Coating and Miscellaneous piping, structural and safety modifications of a

1) 2,000,000 Gallon
Concrete Reservoir (Red Hill)

2) 200,000 Gallon Standpipe Potable Water Storage Tanks (Stuckey Court)

3) 262,800 Gallon Standpipe (Western Ave)

4) 1,500,000 Gallon
Hydropillar (Boyd
Orchard)

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

The City of Martinsburg anticipates to stage the coating and repairs of the water storage tanks 1 and 2 to in 2021 and 3 and 4 in spring of 2022.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc (CEC), 120 Genesis Boulevard, Bridgeport, WV 26330. CEC may be reached at 304-933-3119 or by email at [email protected]. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available electronically via email/ftp link (as portable document format (PDF) files) free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding
Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $150 per set, payable to Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon
Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding
Documents, including
Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 am local time on Thursday July 29th, 2021 at the City of Martinsburg City Council Chambers, 232 North Queen Street, 2nd Floor, Martinsburg, WV 25401.

Bid security shall be
furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
