PUBLIC NOTICE OF BLASTING OPERATIONS Notice is hereby given that Marfork Coal Company, Inc., PO Box 457, Whitesville, WV 25209, (304) 854-1852 will be conducting blasting activities in accordance with State and Federal Laws and as approved by the Department of Environmental Protection on Permit Number O-3010-95, located 3.2 miles Southwest of Dorthy, Marsh Fork District, Raleigh County, West Virginia. Blasting activities will occur from “sunrise to sunset”, Monday through Saturday from November 22, 2015 through November 22, 2016. Ten minutes prior to and immediately after each blast, all access to the specific area will be safeguarded from unauthorized entry. The pre-blast audible warning signal audible to a range of one-half mile from the blasting site shall consist of three (3) short air horn blasts of five (5) seconds duration with five (5) seconds between each signal and at least three (3) minutes prior to blasting. One (1) long warning signal of twenty (20) seconds duration shall be the all-clear signal. Blasting shall be conducted in such a way so as to prevent adverse impacts to the public of the environment. Blasting activities will not be conducted at times other than those announced in the blasting schedule except in the event of an emergency situation where rain, lightning, or other atmospheric conditions, or operator or public safety requires unscheduled detonations. 7-24-FRI-1-RH; L 3236
