PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Oak Hill, West Virginia, has adopted by ordinance on May 23, 2016, a tariff containing increased rates, tolls and charges for furnishing sewer service to approximately 3,312 customers in the greater Oak Hill area in the County of Fayette, West Virginia. The proposed increased rates and charges will become in two steps, with the first step effective July 8, 2016, and the second step effective upon substantial completion of the City’s 2016 sewer project unless otherwise ordered by the Public Service Commission. The first step increase will produce approximately $380,469 annually in additional revenue, an increase of 16.8{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}. The average monthly bill for the various classes of customers will be changed as follows over current rates: The increases shown are based on averages of all customers in the indicated class. Individual customers may receive increases that are greater or less than average. Furthermore, the requested rates and charges are only a proposal and are subject to change (increases or decreases) by the Public Service Commission in its review of this filing. The Commission shall review and approve or modify the increased rates only upon the filing of a petition within thirty (30) days of the adoption of the ordinance changing said rates or charges, by: (1) Any customer aggrieved by the changed rates or charges who presents to the Commission a petition signed by not less than twenty-five percent of the customers served by such municipally operated public utility. A complete copy of the proposed rates, as well as a representative of the utility to provide any information requested concerning it, is available to all customers, prospective customers, or their agents at the following office of the utility.
