PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES ASSESSMENTS

Notice is hereby given, that, on the 4th day of June, 2015, and the 18th day of June, 2015, the City Council of the City of Elkins caused to be read an Ordinance, the principal object of which is to amend and enact City Code, Chapter 8, Article IV, Fire Protection Services Assessments, relating to fire protection services for the Elkins Fire Department’s First Due Area within and outside the municipal corporate limits. The proposed ordinance is titled:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELKINS, WEST VIRGINIA, AMENDING, ENACTING AND REENACTING THE FIRE FEE ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY CITY COUNCIL BY AMENDING CITY CODE, CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE IV, FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES ASSESSMENTS AND AMENDING ORDINANCE 178.

The City Council of the City of Elkins will have its final reading and vote on the ordinance on July 2, 2015, at 7:00 p.m., in the Elkins City Council Chambers, 401 Davis Avenue, Elkins, West Virginia. The meeting will be open to the public and any interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed Ordinance.

A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s office located at 401 Davis Avenue, Elkins, West Virginia. That office is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
