Rule 42 application to increase water rates.
NOTICE OF HEARING
On September 29, 2014, the Central Hampshire Public Service District filed an application with the West Virginia Public Service Commission to increase its sewer rates by 12{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}, resulting in an additional $86,251 in revenue. The rates became effective on September 29, 2014, subject to refund, pursuant to W.Va. Code §24‑2‑4a. The Utility also sought the Commission’s approval to borrow $200,000 at an interest rate of 3.93{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c} for sixty months. A portion of the loan would be used for preliminary engineering costs related to a possible treatment plant upgrade.
The matter has been set for hearing on March 17, 2015, at 9:30 a.m., in the Courtroom, Second Floor, Hampshire County Courthouse, 66 North High Street, Romney. Interested individuals may appear at hearing and be heard regarding the rate increase. Individuals may also file written comment with the Public Service Commission by mailing that comment to the Executive Secretary, P. 0. Box 812, Charleston, WV 25323, on or before March 17, 2015, Comments should be as specific as possible and should refer to Case No. 14‑1670‑PSD‑42R‑PC.
