PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES BY
ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE
NOTICE is hereby given that Harrison Rural Electrification Association, Inc. a public utility, has adopted by Board resolution on September 24, 2019 a tariff containing decreased and increased rates. Tolls and charges for furnishing electric service to approximately 6,905 members in the counties of Harrison, Doddridge, Marion, Taylor, Barbour, Upshur and Lewis.
The proposed changes in rates and charges will become effective January 1, 2020 unless otherwise ordered by the Public Service Commission and will not produce any overall additional revenue. These changes are made as per an independent Class Cost of Service Study to more accurately apportion revenues to costs in various rate classes. The average monthly bill for various classes of customers will be changed as follows:

The changes shown are based on averages of all customers/members in the indicated class. Individual customers/members may receive changes that are greater or less than average. Furthermore, the requested rates and charges are only a proposal an dare subject to changes (increases or decreases) by the Public Service Commission in its review of this filing. The Commission shall review and approve or modify the rate changes upon the filing of a petition within thirty (30) days of the adoption of the resolution changing said rates or charges, by any customer/member aggrieved by the changed rates or charges who presents to the Commission a petition signed by twenty-five percent of the membership of the electric cooperative residing within the state.

A complete copy of the proposed rates as well as a representative of the cooperative to provide any information requested concerning it, is available to all customers/members, prospective customers, or their agents at the following office of the cooperative.
