REQUEST FOR ENGINEERING
QUALIFICATIONS

The Raleigh County Airport Authority is in the process of obtaining qualifications from consulting engineering firms interested in providing advice and services for acreage development at the Raleigh County Airport Industrial Park. The consultant will work closely with the Raleigh County Airport Authority, New River Gorge Regional Development Authority, and Region I Planning & Development Council.

Professional services for the activity funded include; (1) Construction design in accordance with all State, Federal and Local regulations that pertain to the proposed project; (2) Preparation of bidding and contracting documents; (3) Participation in the evaluation of bids received; (4) Monitor and inspect construction activities on a periodic basis to insure compliance with plans and specifications; (5) Preparation and delivery of final “As Built” drawings and data in GIS format (shapefile, geodatabase, etc.) with data georeferenced to and assigned real-world coordinates and accompanied by comprehensive descriptive metadata.

Procurement of said services shall be in accordance with West Virginia Code Chapter 5G. Consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit a proposal detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities and related prior experience.

Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project may be undertaken through funding sources including but not limited to the HUD/Community Development Block Grant, Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Grant Program, the Economic Development Administration (EDA), the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WV DEP), the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council, and the State Revolving Loan Fund.
