Mountain Valley Elementary
The Mercer County Board of Education is requesting proposals to provide and install 6 copper lines and 29 VOIP phones and a paging system for the Mountain Valley Elementary School currently under construction at 977 Blue Prince Road, Bluefield WV 247401. The system must be compatible with the existing Avaya BCM 450 system. Telephones will connect to existing cabling. Plenum rated 18-gauge speaker wire with shield and ground must be run for paging system. Selection of the successful bidder will be based upon price (which will be the heaviest weighted factor), equipment design and manufacturer, warranty, maintenance services, experience and references. A one-year warranty is required with 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., next business day response time for equipment maintenance and repairs. A mandatory pre-bid conference has been scheduled for July 23, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at the garage located beside the Clerk of the Works house at Mountain Valley Elementary School, 977 Blue Prince Road, Bluefield WV 24701. All pre-bid attendees must provide their own hard hat at the site. No hard hats will be furnished by the Mercer County Board of Education. A satisfactory bid bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of West Virginia, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total amount of bid, payable to the Mercer County Board of Education, shall be submitted with Bid. All bidders must submit a copy of their Contractor License as required by Chapter 21 of the WV code. The successful bidder and all subcontractors will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond. Other requirements are detailed in the bid package.
