REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST LEWISBURG HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMISSION LEWISBURG, WV
The Lewisburg Historic Landmark Commission/Greenbrier Historical Soc-iety is requesting proposals for the preparation of phased bid documents for the complete interior rehabilitation of the Barracks located at 200 Randolph Street, East. The final product must include the narrative and drawings and any other work product required to bid the various phases of work.
This contract will include Federal funds and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulations is required.
Services are to include:
1. Assessment of ADA requirements.
2. Identification of all systems which require upgrades/replacement.
3. Determination of the order in which upgrades/replacements are to made to avoid interference with subsequent work.
4. Determination of suitable phases of work to allow for incremental fund-raising.
5. Preparation of detailed drawings and technical specifications as well as any required narrative for bidding each separate phase of the work.
6. One hard copy of the report will be provided to the Lewisburg Historic Landmark Commission and additional copies will be provided through electronic means.
Qualifications:
The Consultants must:
Meet the standards for an architect as established by the National Park Service in 36 CFR 61; have successfully completed similar projects in the past; and have the ability to complete the project by October 28, 2016.
Expression of Interest:
No later than May 25, at 2:00 PM individuals and firms interested in undertaking the project should submit 6 copies of the following to: Lewisburg Historic Landmark Commission

Letter of interest; individuals or firm resume or vita or statement of qualifications; assurances that the proposed schedule is feasible; one or more examples of previously completed similar work; approach and methodology for this project; and references.
Selection Process:
The Barracks Committee on behalf of the Lewisburg Historic Landmark Commission/Greenbrier Historical Society will review all proposals, conduct oral in-person interviews of finalist candidates, and recommend a consultant based on: experience in carrying out similar projects; proven ability to complete the project in a timely fashion; and consultation with references. The Lewisburg Historic Landmark Commission will make their selection within fours weeks and will want to negotiate a contract with the expectation of a sign date of July 19, 2016.
