Broadband Service

The Mercer County Board of Education, Princeton, WV invites proposals for providing high speed broadband service at all locations, with termination of each circuit at a switch owned and maintained by the vendor at each termination location, connecting through the Central Office hub. The vendor must also provide connection from the Central Office location to the WV State Capitol Complex, Charleston, WV. Selection of vendor will be based upon factors to include cost and demonstrated capability of vendor. This is a one-year contract with an option to renew for two additional years, one year at a time. The successful bidder will also be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Laws, provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents, and submit a State of West Virginia Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit. Final contract payment will not be made to the vendor until all certifications of compliance with WV Code 5A-3-10a, 11-10-11(d) and 21-A-2-6c (a) for payment of applicable state and county taxes has been obtained. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of proposals for at least ninety days. Other requirements will be detailed in the proposal package. The previous date for the proposal opening was March 1, 2019. The RFP opening date is hereby revised. Proposals will be publicly opened on March 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the main conference room, Mercer County Board of Education, 1403 Honaker Avenue, Princeton, WV 24740.
