NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
FY 2015 SMALL CITIES BLOCK GRANT
The Town of Rivesville will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 6:45 P.M. at the Town Hall located at located at 142 Main Street, Rivesville, WV 26588.
On or about May 21, 2015 the Town of Rivesville intends to submit an application to the West Virginia Development Office for federal funds under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended for the FY 2015 Small Cities Block Grant in the amount of $1,500,000.
The Town of Rivesville is proposing to replace the water supply line from the Bellview master meter in Fairmont to the meters at Hawkinberry Hollow outside of Rivesville.
The purpose of this public hearing is to allow citizens to comment on the proposed project prior to the passage of a resolution authorizing the filing of the application. The application is available for public review and copying, upon request, at the Town of Rivesville.
Written comments will be received until 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 and should be addressed to the Town of Rivesville, P.O. Box 45, Rivesville, WV 26588.
The Town of Rivesville encourages all citizens to attend or provide written comments, especially citizens who are elderly, low income, handicapped or minorities and who live in low-moderate income neighborhoods or live in areas of slums or blight. Any non-English speaking or handicapped persons wishing to attend should contact the Town of Rivesville at the above address or call (304) 278-5301 so that proper accommodations can be made.
Special note should be made that this application will compete with other SCBG applications in the State and there is no guarantee of funding.
