TAZEWELL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, pursuant to Sections 15.2-1211 and 24.2-306 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on June 28, 2018 at the County Administration Building, located at 197 Main Street, Tazewell, Virginia 24651, at 6:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as may be heard, to consider public comment regarding a proposed Ordinance to Provide for the Consolidation of Election Precincts and to Relocate Certain Polling Places within Tazewell County, Virginia, to Be Effective Immediately Pursuant to Sections 15.2-1211, 15.2-1425, and 24.2-305 et. seq. of the Code of Virginia (1950), as Amended.
The proposed Ordinance would consolidate Abbs Valley Precinct and Boissevain Precinct into one single precinct. The proposed Ordinance would also consolidate Adria Precinct and Gap Store Precinct into one single precinct. The proposed Ordinance would further consolidate the Pounding Mill Precinct and Wardell Precinct into one single precinct. The proposed Ordinance would also establish polling places for the three consolidated precincts and establish a new location for the Pocahontas precinct.
