THE CABELL COUNTY COMMISSION (…

The Cabell County Commission ("County") is seeking to hire a qualified Construction Manager at Risk firm ("CMAR") to provide preconstruction and construction management services for an Addition and Renovations to the Cabell County Courthouse located in downtown Huntington, WV ("Project"). Through this Request for Qualifications ("RFQ"), the County is seeking Qualification Statements from interested and qualified firms. The architect for the design of the project has been selected and has performed several studies determining that construction of an addition and renovation of the existing courthouse are required to provide the space necessary for all the functions and operations that the courthouse provides. The County projects estimated construction costs to be approximately $24.7 million. Graphics are included at the end of the RFQ detailing the location of the proposed addition. The CMAR must have experience as the prime at-risk contractor, design-builder, or construction manager for the construction of a minimum of three (3) similar-sized or larger professional or governmental projects to be considered for further evaluation. The Cabell County Commission will accept Qualification Statements for a Construction Manager at Risk firm (CMAR) electronically until 3:00 pm on May 11, 2026, for the Cabell County Courthouse Addition and Renovations. A copy of the RFQ may be obtained from the Cabell County Commission office at 750 5th Avenue, Suite 300, Huntington, WV 25705, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday- Friday, or by contacting County Administrator Beth Zerkle at [email protected], or online at www.cabellcounty.org.
