NOTICE

TO THE FORMER MEMBERS OF THE LORTON LICK WESLEYAN CHURCH

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on or following the 7th day of August, 2019, the Shenandoah District of The Wesleyan Church, Inc., successor in interest to the Trustees of the Lorton Lick Wesleyan Church, a religious organization, successors in interest to the Trustees of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, a religious organization, will sell and convey to Freda Wright for the sum of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) certain real estate situate on the old Montcalm Princeton Road in Beaver Pond District, Mercer County, West Virginia, more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING at a tack in the center of bridge across Lorton’s Lick Creek and on the old Montcalm Princeton road, and at the district line between Beaverpond and Rock Districts, and a corner to a tract of land recently conveyed to Will Kirby, and C. N. Kirby, by deed dated the 1st day of August, 1934, and thence running with the said line of Will Kirby and C. N. Kirby, and the center of the Road, in a Southerly direction, a distance of approximately four hundred feet to a point at the line of J. C. Lovern; thence running in a westerly direction a distance of approximately 159 feet to the creek; thence running down and with the creek in a northerly direction a distance of 400 feet to the point of Beginning.

Being the same tract of land which was conveyed to H. A. Bailey, Howard Bowman and Tom Nicewander, Trustees of The Pilgrim Holiness Church, by deed dated the December 1, 1939 and recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Court, Mercer County, West Virginia, in Deed Book 243, at page 525.

You are further notified that this Notice is given so that all persons who were members of the Lorton Lick Wesleyan Church who have concern or who may wish to object to the sale of said real estate for proper cause may do so as provided in W. Va. Code 35-1-11. Unless one-fourth (1/4) or more of the total of the former members of Lorton Lick Wesleyan Church who are over the age of eighteen years, in the name of two or more of them, on behalf of themselves and others similarly objecting, file their objection, with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Mercer County, West Virginia, in the above captioned Civil Action, on or before August 7, 2019, setting forth their reason why such sale should not be made, then the Shenandoah District of The Wesleyan Church, Inc. will make, execute and deliver the deed conveying the above described real estate to Freda Wright.
