Thomas City Mayor Resignation

Legal 2 col x 2-3/4”

On March 24, 2021, the Thomas City Council accepted the written resignation of former Mayor Matt Quattro. Per West Virginia State Code the former Recorder, Kim Johnson, has taken over the duties of the Mayor. The Recorder will perform the duties of the Mayor and is vested with all of the Mayor’s power and authority in the interim, and until a new Mayor is elected at the next election.
Unfortunately, circumstances prevent the City Council from providing further details about the resignation of Mr. Quattro. However, rest assured the City Council will be providing as much information as possible to the public as it is permitted and as additional information becomes known.
We appreciate your patience while we move through this transition. It is our pledge as Council to work as a unifying force for good in the community and to continue to uphold the integrity of our town.
The next Council meeting is Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at the TEC (2nd floor).
