ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Davis, c/o Tucker Community Foundation, 737 William Ave., Suite 1, Davis, WV 26260, until 2:00 P.M., September 6, 2016, for the following work:
The bid prices shall include the costs for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Form of Proposal, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, Supplemental General Conditions and Detail Specifications and Drawings prepared by Chapman Technical Group. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the required provisions will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work to be bid upon is described as follows:
Construction of two new concrete foundation slabs; two new climbing wall boulders; new
rubber mulch play surface; stone paved handicap parking pad; stone paved walkway; and
other incidental construction in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared
by Chapman Technical Group.
Construction time limit is 180 calendar days.
Each prospective Bidder shall be required to acquire a minimum of one copy of the Bidding Documents which consist of plans and specifications. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following places:

Plans and Specifications may be obtained by each Bidder from the office of Chapman Technical Group, 200 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, West Virginia 25177, telephone (304) 727-5501, upon payment of a $50.00 non-refundable deposit, or they may be ordered from the online Plan Room at www.chaptech.com.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference shall be held at the Tucker Community Foundation, 737
William Ave, Suite 1, Davis, WV, on August 25, 2016, at 1:00 PM. All prospective BIDDERS are required to attend the Pre-Bid Conference for the purpose of discussing the project and touring the project site.
All bidding documents shall be submitted in a single envelope addressed to the Owner marked with the following information in the lower left hand corner:
“Name and Address of Bidder”

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids. Any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he has a valid WV Contractor’s license and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the State and subdivision in which the work is to be performed. The Town of Davis reserves the right to reject any or all Bids.
