PUBLIC NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RATES PROPOSED TO BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
ON AN INTERIM BASIS SUBJECT TO REFUND
NOTICE is hereby given that Tygarts Valley Transfer, Inc., (“TVT”) a solid waste transfer station, has on June 18, 2020, filed with the PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF WEST VIRGINIA an application to increase its rates strictly to pass through a $5.80 per ton increase approved by the Public Service Commission and in effect as of July 1, 2020 for the landfill owned by the Tucker County Solid Waste Authority. TVT has filed a proposed interim tariff containing increased rates and charges for furnishing solid waste transfer station service, and is asking the Commission to make its rate increase effective as of July 1, 2020.
The proposed increased rates and charges will produce approximately $125,535 annually in additional revenue, an increase of 7.7%. The carrier’s present authorized rates and its proposed rates are as follows:

Individual customers may receive increases that are greater or less than stated here. The requested rates and charges are only a proposal and are subject to approval, denial, or modification (increases or decreases) by the Public Service Commission in its review of this application. If a hearing is scheduled, notice will be given of the time and place of hearing.
Anyone desiring to protest this proposed change in rates or to intervene should file a written protest or notice of intervention prior to July 6, 2020, unless the commission, by order, specifies a different date. Failure to file a timely protest or notice of intervention may affect your rights to protest any rate increases and to participate in future proceedings in this case. All protests or requests to intervene should briefly state the reason for the protest or intervention. Requests to intervene must comply with the Commission’s rule of intervention set forth in the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure. All protests and notices of intervention sold be addressed to the Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323.
A complete copy of the carrier’s present authorized rates of its proposed rates, as well as a representative of the carrier to provide any information requested concerning the proposed changes, is available to all customers, prospective customers, or their agents at any of the following offices of the carrier:

A copy of the carrier’s present authorized rates and of its proposed rates is also available for public inspection at the office of the Executive Secretary of the PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION at 201 Brooks Street, Charleston, West Virginia.
