PUBLIC HEARING TO CHANGE VOTING SYSTEM
IN CLAY COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA
The Clay County Commission will hold a public hearing on the 27th day of December, 2022, at 9:45 a.m. to receive comments concerning changing the voting system used in Clay County, West Virginia. Clay County currently uses an Optional Scan Ballot along with an iVotronic Electronic Machine per each precinct.
This Commission will receive comments on changing the voting system to use ExpressVote voting equipment for all precincts and early voting. Ballots will be tabulated with a Model DS450 High-Throughput Scanner and Tabulator. Clay County will continue to use the Optical Scan Paper Ballot for all absentee voting by mail. The hearing will be held in the Clay County Commission Courtroom at 246 Main Street, Clay, WV 25043.
