U.S. EPA Brownfield Cleanup Grant

The Paden City Development Authority (PCDA) is seeking a contractor for the cleanup of the Former Corning Plant site, also known as the Paden City Industrial Park. The Former Corning Plant site is located at 330 South 1st Avenue in Paden City, West Virginia. Cleanup efforts are concentrated in Sections B and C (approximately 55,000 square feet), the boilers, and the old Office Building. Sections B and C are attached to the main plant and contain two kilns and a ventilation system. The boilers are located on the exterior of Section B. The Office Building is located in the eastern portion of the site. The project is funded by a $500,000 USEPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant. The selected contractor will perform demolition and cleanup activities from approximately April 2023 to June 2023, or until completion, whichever occurs first, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to the USEPA Brownfield Standards, the Davis-Bacon Act, and WVDEP waste management and disposal, and air quality regulations.
