Summary of Work: Rio Grande Community College is seeking bids to build an addition to the Bernard V. Fultz Meigs Center, operated by Rio Grande Community College to support a medical training lab as well as renovation of an adjacent classroom space to accommodate an integrated science lab. The current structure, built in 2008, sits on 7.53 acres of property owned by RGCC. The Fultz Center is currently 13,573 square feet. The medical lab expansion will add approximately 1,816 GSF to the existing building and will accommodate a new medical health laboratory as well as 1 new staff office. The new health lab will support a maximum of 24 students, including a 4-bed simulation teaching area. The renovation area is approximately 900 NSF with electrical outlets, lighting and data drops currently in place, some of which will be relocated to accommodate millwork. Water and sanitary will be needed for the lab, as well as a new lab fume hood (OFCI). The drawings and specification were prepared by MA Design, 775 Yard Street, Suite 325, Columbus, OH 43212.
PREVAILING WAGE RATES AND EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY REQUIREMENTS ARE APPLICABLE TO THIS PROJECT. BIDDERS ARE REQUIRED TO BE ENROLLED IN, PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID, AND TO BE IN GOOD STANDING IN A DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE (DRWP) APPROVED BY THE OHIO BUREAU OF WORKERS COMPENSATION (OBWC), AND ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE CERTAIN INFORMATION RELATIVE TO THEIR ENROLLMENT IN SUCH A PROGRAM. A PERFORMANCE BOND AND PAYMENT BOND IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT.
