ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WAYNE COUNTYHEALTH DEPARTMENT STORAGE GARAGEPROJECT The Wayne County Health Department (hereinafter referred toas Owner) will receive sealed bids from prospective bidders for the constructionof a 24′ X 30′, detached, cinder block storage garage adjacent to the WayneCounty Health Department located at 217 Kenova Avenue, Wayne, WV 25570. Adetailed description of the of the proposed scope of work can be obtained bycontacting the Owner at (304) 272-6761. Bidprice is to include all materials, labor, equipment, transportation, andapplicable cost necessary to complete the project. The Contractor will beresponsible for: 1.Obtaining all necessary permits, clearances,bonding, insurance, workers compensation, applicable taxes, etc. 2.All site preparation and clean-up. 3.Construction activities in accordance with the scopeof work description. 4.Supervision and coordination of any and allsub-contractor activity. 5.One year warranty for materials and workmanship. 6.Complete all construction and submit finalinvoice by June 16, 2023. TheContractor and the Contractor’s surety shall be liable for and shall pay theOwner $300 per calendar day for each day beyond the contract time that eithersubstantial or final completion is not achieved. Submitoffer on the Bid Forms provided by owner. Each bidder must submit along with their bid, a copy of their WVContractor’s License, a Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit and a bidbond equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid. The bid bond may be in theform of a certified or cashier’s check or surety-bond properly secured. The bidbond will be retained by the Owner and returned upon the contract award and executionof a contract with the lowest responsible bidder. The bidder awarded thecontract must provide both a surety performance bond and payment bond equal toone hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Sealed bids will be received by the WayneCounty Health Department until 3:00P.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in the offices of the Wayne CountyHealth Department at 217 Kenova Avenue, Wayne, WV 25570 and will be opened on or after that date. Bids submitted by USPS must be submitted to: Wayne County Health Department, P.O. Box 368,Wayne, WV 25570. If bids are submitted by postal or other delivery services,they must arrive prior to the time stated above. Bids must be clearly marked “Bid-Wayne County Health Department StorageGarage”. The aim of the competitive process is toobjectively select the firm that will provide the highest quality of service ata reasonable fee.
