MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Thunder Wing Sale is located within Randolph County, 35 miles northeast of Bartow, WV, in the headwaters of Gandy Creek. The Forest Service will receive Sealed bids at Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241, before or at the time of public bid opening at 2:00 PM local time on 05/11/2023 for an estimated volume of 481 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 1855 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 158 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Bi, Hem, Red Pine) sawtimber, and 1334 CCF of Pulpwood marked or otherwise designated for cutting. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public from the Cheat Ranger District, 459 Nursery Bottom Road, Parsons, WV 26287, Forest Supervisor’s Office, or found on the Monongahela National Forest website at:
