NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT
REGARDING REVISIONS TO RULES GOVERNING
EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE
The Public Service Commission of West Virginia is considering modifying the rules which govern the billing, collection and remission of a Wireless Enhanced 911 Fee, a Public Safety Fee and a Wireless Tower Fee, on a monthly basis, by certain telecommunications carriers and the disbursement of such fee revenues in accordance with W. Va. Code section 24-6-6b to the West Virginia State Police, the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Wireless Tower Access Assistance Fund, and counties in the State. A copy of the Commission Order and the proposed revised Rules Governing Emergency Telephone Service are at the Commission website (www.psc.state.wv.us) under the Case Information section using the General Order No. above.
The Commission will receive written comments from the public on the proposed amendments to the rules according to the below schedule:
