ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Putnam CountyBoard of Education, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, invites qualifiedcontractors to submit sealed bids for Roof Replacement for Poca High SchoolGymnasium for Putnam County Schools according to Bidding Documents preparedby ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers. Sealed bids will be received at the officesof the Owner, 77 Courthouse Drive,Winfield, West Virginia25213 until 1:30 p.m., local time, on May 18, 2023 at which time and place the bids will be publiclyopened and read. A Pre-Bid conference will be heldat 1:30 p.m. local time, on May 9, 2023 at the Poca High School locatedat One Dot Way, Poca WV 25159. A guided tour of the school facilitywill be conducted by the Architect immediately following the Pre-Bidconference. Attendance at pre-bid conference is mandatory for prime contractbidders only. Bidding Documents can be obtained by one of the followingmethods: 1. Prime Contract Bidders only may contact ZMM,Inc. Architects and Engineers Attn:Receptionist; [email protected] and requestinformation to access the firm’s online ShareFile site for the Roof Replacement for Poca High School Gymnasium for Putnam CountySchools project. Once access is gained, Bidders can download BiddingDocuments in the form of PDF files at no charge. Requests for access todocuments must be made by email, and those requests received through mail,telephone, fax transmission, or other online communications will not receive aresponse. 2. Hard Copies may be obtained from CharlestonBlueprint (304-343-1063) by General Contractors, Subcontractors, materialsuppliers and dealersby paying the actual cost of printing,binding and mailing; however such cost is notrefundable. Bidding documents may be examined at Viewing Depositories listed in the Bidding Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, made payable to the Owner,in the amount of five percent(5%) of the base bid, inaccordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bidder must be registered with the West Virginia Department of Tax and Revenue prior tothe time and date for Receiptof Bids in order for his Bid to be considered. Each Bidder’s registrationcertificate number shall be written in the space provided on the Bid Form. All bidders are required to be licensedto perform work in the State ofWest Virginia prior to submitting a bid for thisproject as requiredby Chapter 21, Article 11, of the Code of West Virginia. Each Bidder’s Contractor license number shall be written in thespace provided on the Bid Form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, the right to waive minorinformalities and procedures in bidding, and the right to withhold final award of contractfor 30 days after opening bids. The bidder to whom the contract isawarded shall execute and deliver to the Owner within 10 days after the award, and before signingthe contract, a Performance Bond and PaymentBond utilizing the bond forms bound in the Project Manual each in a penal sumequal to at least the contract sum and the cost of such bonds shall be includedin the bid.
