MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Rambottom Run Stewardship Sale is an integrated resource timber contract located 5 miles northeast of Bartow, WV, in Pocahontas County, in the headwaters of the Greenbrier River watershed. The Forest Service will receive technical and price proposals (no public meeting) by mail, courier service or hand-delivery at the Forest Supervisor’s Office by 2:00 PM local time on 07/06/2023. Mail/submit proposals to: Forest Supervisor’s Office, ATTN: Rambottom Run Stewardship, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins, WV 26241. This sale has an estimated volume of 568 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 483 CCF Maple (RM ,SM) sawtimber, and 557 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Bi, Bass Cuc, Hem, Hic, Larch, Norway Sp., WP) sawtimber, 576 Oak CCF (WO, CO) sawtimber, 960 CCF Red & Black Oak sawtimber, and 1875 CCF Pulpwood, marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Included in the contract is one (1) mandatory service project to be completed by the Contractor. The contract will be awarded based on a Best Value Determination. One award will be made to the offeror (a) whose proposal is technically acceptable and (b) whose technical/price relationship is the most advantageous to the Government. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. A prospectus, solicitation form, information concerning the timber, the mandatory service project, and complete conditions of the contract are available to the public from the Forest Supervisor’s Office, or the Greenbrier Ranger District. A sale inspection is planned for May 31, 2023, meet at the Greenbrier Ranger Station in Bartow, WV at 10:00 AM on that date.
