ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Wirt County Board of Education will be accepting sealed bids for the upcoming Wirt County Schools 2023 Asphalt Filling, Sealing, and Striping Project. A sealed bid must be hand-delivered to: Wirt County Board of Education, 389 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, WV 26143, or mailed to Wirt County Board of Education, 189 Mulberry Street, Elizabeth, West Virginia by 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 11, 2023. The required completion date for the project is Friday, August 11, 2023. Bids must be labeled “Wirt County Schools 2023 Asphalt Filling, Sealing and Striping Project”. Each company may choose to bid these projects separately or together. A bid can be submitted for either project A or project B
A bid for the Asphalt filling, sealing, and striping; or a bid for the asphalt crack filling solely. Wirt County Schools may choose to begin completion of either or both parts of the project at the end of the bidding period. The Wirt County Board of Education reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids.

The project specifications include the following:
Project A:
1. Pour hot rubberized crack filler into approximately 6,052 lineal feet of cracks, apply 2 coats of asphalt sealer with sand added to approximately 45, 924 sq. ft. and stripe lot for parking at Wirt County High School and Bus Garage.
2. Pour hot rubberized crack filler into approximately 3,181 lineal feet of cracks, apply 2 coats of asphalt sealer with sand added to approximately 29,205 sq. ft. and stripe lot for parking at Wirt County Middle School.
3. Apply 2 coats of asphalt sealer with sand added to approximately 34,209 sq. ft. and stripe lot for parking at Wirt County Primary Center.
4. Clean and sweep the areas as needed
Project B:
1. Pour hot rubberized crack filler into approximately 6,052 lineal feet of cracks at Wirt County High School and Bus Garage Parking Lots.
2. Pour hot rubberized crack filler into approximately 3,181 lineal feet of cracks at Wirt County Middle School Parking Lot.
3. Clean and sweep as needed
Checklist for Bidding; includes the following:
1. Provide copy of liability insurance
2. Provide copy of WV Worker’s Compensation coverage
3. Business License
4. Drug-Free Workplace Affidavit
5. Complete W-9
6. Complete No Debt Affidavit
7. If bid is over $25,000 (bond will be required)
