ABANDONED BUILDING,
UNSAFE PROPERTY, REFUSE, COMPLAINT HEARINGS
The Commission of Raleigh County (Commission) will hold hearings on August 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at 116 1/2 North Heber Street, Beckley, WV 25801 on the following abandoned unsafe properties:
1) 105 Keese Dr., Helen, WV, Slab Fork Dist., Tax Map 7A, Parcel 124 (owned by Winding Gulf Restoration Organization Inc.); 2) 328 Burmeister Ave., Raleigh, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 28C, Parcels 73&74 (owned by TBLF Properties LLC); 3) 106 Cranston Dr., Cranberry, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 7008, Parcel 70 (owned by Sandra Sturms); 4) 6404 Tams Hwy., Amigo, WV, Slab Fork Dist., Tax Map 12B, Parcel 79 (owned by Volusia Ventures LLC); 5) 153 Ernest Ave., WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 28C, Parcel 61 (owned by P&J Real Estate LLC); 6) 226 Wickham Rd., Town Dist., Tax Map 2002, Parcel 97 (owned by Allen Grant c/o Gail Grant); 7) 180 Ernest Ave., Raleigh, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 28C, Parcel 55 (owned by Shameka Janell Jackson); 8) 114 Dominion Dr., Crab Orchard, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 4006, Parcel 69 (owned by Jackson Hole Properties LLC); 9) 108 Dominion Dr., Crab Orchard, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 4006, Parcel 91 (owned by Montana Sky LLC); 10) 157 Locust Rd., Fairdale, WV, Trap Hill Dist., Tax Map 1005, Parcel 44.1 (owned by NAJ LLC)
The purpose is to address complaints above from the Raleigh County Property Safety Enforcement Agency (RCPSEA). The RCPSEA determined these properties are unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous, or detrimental to the public safety or welfare. The RCPSEA recommends that the Commission order the land owner(s) to demolish the unsafe structure(s), demolition debris, and associated junk, junk vehicles & garbage located on the above property within a reasonable time period, and in the event the owner does not comply with the order, the Commission then perform the work, at cost to property owner.
