Notice is hereby given that SUNDIAL MINING, LLC, P.O. BOX 910667, LEXINGTON, KY 40591 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 2123.43 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number S301299 to Coal Surface, Highwall and Auger Mine in the Eagle, Eagle Rider, Eagle A, Eagle B, Powellton, No. 2 Gas, Peerless, Lower, Middle & Upper Cedar Grove, Hernshaw, Chilton, Chilton Rider, Winifrede, Winifrede Rider, Coalburg, Lower Stockton, Upper Stockton, Stockton Rider, Lower Clarion and all splits thereof seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Canterberry Branch, Kelly Branch, Workman Branch and Clay Branch of Peachtree Creek, Hazy Creek, Shumate Creek and Peachtree Creek of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 2.2 miles, west of Naoma in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh county, Longitude 81o 31′ 45″ and Latitude 37o 51′ 29″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until September 21, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
