AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that The Chemours Company FC, LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Air Quality (DAQ), for a Class II Administrative Update for The C1 Polymer Production Process located on 8480 DuPont Road, Washington, West Virginia near Parkersburg, West Virginia located in Wood County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates are: (39.2700073, -81.674519).
The applicant estimates the increased annual potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be:
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) 13.46 tons
Particulate Matter .77 tons
Nitric Acid 0.12 tons
Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPs)
(Hydrogen Fluoride & Acetonitrile) 1.02 tons
Hydrocarbons .59 tons
Ammonia 4.3 tons
All equipment addressed by these changes was permitted earlier. Increases in rates and changes in chemistry are expected to ready for implementation September 15, 2023 or upon receipt of permission from the West Virginia DEPDAQ. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
