Box 457, 370 Packsville/Marfork Road, Whitesville, WV 25209 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a Phase 2 and 3 Release on Permit Number S300809 issued for 55.5 acres.
The permit is located in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, 2.0 miles southeast of Dorothy on Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Upper Kanawha River.
Marfork Coal Company, LLC completed final reclamation on 03/31/2021 and is requesting release of 100 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $31,648.00.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address until December 21, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date
of final publication.
