Notice is hereby given that Midland Trail Resources, LLC, 100 Bill Baker Way, Beckley, WV 25801 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 56.9 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U306288 to operate and maintain a deep mine, preparation plant, and associated facilities in the Pocahontas No. 6 seam of coal. The operation is discharging into unnamed tributaries of/and Radar Run of Little Clear Creek of Meadow River of Gauley River and is located 3.6 miles, northeast of Rupert in Meadow Bluff District of Greenbrier County, Longitude 80° 37’ 18” and Latitude 37° 59’ 07” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the permit renewal application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until December 9, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above and is available at:
