Notice is hereby given that Midland Trail Resources, LLC, 100 Bill Baker Way, Beckley, WV 25801 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a Phase 1 release on Permit Number S301507 Increment Number 11 issued for 57.96 acres.
The permit is located in Meadow Bluff District of Greenbrier County, 9.2 miles northeast of Rupert, WV on Kuhn Branch of/and Little Clear Creek of Meadow River of Gauley River of Upper Kanawha River.
Midland Trail Resources, LLC completed backfilling and regrading on 09/16/2022 and is requesting release of 60 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $190,240.00.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until December 23, 2023, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
