The object of this proceeding is to seek an order of the Circuit Court of Wood County, West Virginia, declaring that a nuisance exists as defined by the Provisions of West Virginia Code 61-9-1 relating to property located at 400 16th Street, Parkersburg, WV, and the granting by the Court of certain remedies by reason of the existence of said nuisance.
It appearing by Affidavit filed in this action that due diligence has been undertaken by the Plaintiff to obtain Personal Service upon Defendant Brett Meade and River Town Ventures, LLC, three unsuccessful attempts, and that accordingly the whereabouts of Defendants are unknown. It is therefore ordered that Defendant River Town Ventures, LLC serve upon C. Blaine Myers, City Attorney, City of Parkersburg, whose mailing address is PO Box 1627, Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26102, an Answer, including any related counter claim or defense you may have to the Complaint filed in the Action on or before the 8th Day of April 2024. If you fail to do so, thereafter judgement upon proper hearing may be taken against you for the relief demanded in the Complaint.
You are further notified that a Hearing is scheduled and will be held before the Honorable J.D. Beane, Judge of the Circuit Court of Wood County, West Virginia, at his chambers located at 1 Government Square, Parkersburg, West Virginia, on the 22nd day of March, 2024 at 9:30am at which the Plaintiff will be seeking injunctive relief against you as set forth in the Complaint, at which time you may be present and heard if you so desire.
A copy of said Petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at her office.
