REQUEST FOR BIDS The Beckley Sanitary Board will accept sealed bids for a secondary parking lot. Copies of the complete specifications, bid documents, plans and additional information are available from The Thrasher Group via Theodore Hamb, (304) 431-7800, at 155 Blue Angel Lane, Beaver, WV 25813. A deposit of $50.00 is required and additional shipping charges may apply. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Bids must be submitted on the prescribed forms. A complete set of plans and specifications will also be available for review at the Beckley Sanitary Board office. Sealed bids will be received by the Sanitary Board until 2:00 p.m. LPT, on Monday August 10, 2015. All bids, properly submitted, will then be publicly opened and read aloud. A two envelope system will be utilized and the procedure is described in the specifications for the project. All bids are to be delivered to the General Manager, Beckley Sanitary Board, 301 South Heber Street, (or PO Box 2494, Beckley, West Virginia 25802) Beckley, West Virginia 25801. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days following the opening. The Beckley Sanitary Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday August 4th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Beckley Sanitary Board office, 301 South Heber Street, Beckley, WV 25801. The Project consists of constructing a parking lot for the Beckley Sanitary Board. The proposed site is located at 103 South Heber Street, Beckley, WV. The site will need to be cleared of all brush and vegetation, minimum grading, installation of a gravel base and gravel finish surface, the installation of two (2) light poles, three (3) three quarter (3/4) inch conducts, 30 linear feet of guardrail and a staircase with hand railing. The project will also include two (2) additive alternates. First is the installation of asphalt paving and concrete curbing. The second is the installation of a privacy fence. 8-3-MON-2-RH; L 3244
