NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Common Council for the City of Beckley is accepting bids from qualified firms for: asbestos inspection and abatement, demolition and disposal of 2 structures in Beckley. Bids that do not include both structures will be rejected.
Beckley/DEP Demolition Group 5:
322 Neville Street – Map 24, Parcel 58 – 2 Story Commercial/Residential
324 Neville Street – Map 24, Parcel 59 – 2 Story Commercial/Residential
Potential bidders may visit the site on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Both structures will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for inspection, Beckley Code Enforcement Department will be on site to answer any questions about the demolition.
Complete specifications and bid information may be obtained from the City of Beckley Code Enforcement Department at 232 Industrial Drive or by calling 304-256-1738, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Bids will be received until 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024. They will be publicly opened and read aloud during a meeting of Common Council at 6:30 p.m. that same day, or the next scheduled council meeting. Bids must be submitted to the Recorder-Treasurer in sealed envelopes clearly marked to indicate contents. Bids may be hand delivered to 409 South Kanawha Street, or mailed to P.O. Box 2514, Beckley, WV 25802-2514. Any bids that arrive after the specified date and time will not be considered.
The City of Beckley reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of any bid without cause.
