ABANDONED BUILDING, UNSAFE PROPERTY, REFUSE, COMPLAINT HEARINGS
The Commission of Raleigh County (Commission) will hold hearings on December 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at 116 1/2 North Heber Street, Beckley, WV 25801 on the following abandoned unsafe properties:
1) 2001 Ritter Dr., Daniels, WV, Shady Spring Dist., Tax Map 18, Parcel 28 (owned by Jeffrey G Meadows & Gretchen Meadows); 2) 2017 Ritter Dr, Daniels, WV, Shady Spring Dist., Tax Map 18, Parcel 29.2 (owned by Beaver Enterprise Center Inc.); 3) 268 Wade Rd., Beckley, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 2003, Parcel 155 (owned By Samuel Johnson); 4) 353 Ritter Dr, Glen Morgan, WV, Shady Spring Dist., Tax Map 1002, Parcel 39 (owned by Harles Lambert Heirs); 5) 153 153 Wilcox Valley Ave, Crab Orchard, WV, Town Dist., Tax Map 4004, Parcel 107 (owned by Michael Oglesby & Bertha Oglesby); 6) 353 Slab Fork Rd, Slab Fork, WV, Slab Fork Dist., Tax Map 2A, Parcel 3 (owned by Rachel & Donald Pack (Aka Rachel Cody))
The purpose is to address complaints above from the Raleigh County Property Safety Enforcement Agency (RCPSEA). The RCPSEA determined these properties are unsafe, unsanitary, dangerous, or detrimental to the public safety or welfare. The RCPSEA recommends that the Commission order the land owner(s) to demolish the unsafe structure(s), demolition debris, and associated junk, junk vehicles & garbage located on the above property within a reasonable time period, and in the event the owner does not comply with the order, the Commission then perform the work, at cost to property owner.
