INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids for Kanawha County Judicial Building Fifth Floor Renovations, will be received in the office of the Kanawha County Purchasing Department inside the Historic Kanawha County Courthouse at 407 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV 25301 by 11:00am on Tuesday February 18, 2025. All complete bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00am in the County Commission Courtroom (Kanawha County Historic Courthouse, First Floor), 407 Virginia Street East, Charleston, WV 25301. All Bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bidding Documents issued by the Owner. Approximately 4,945 sf of renovations on the fifth floor of the building and a limited amount of related mechanical work on the building roof are included in the bid documents. The Judicial Building will conduct business throughout the construction process. All construction is assumed to be conducted 5 days a week from 6am to 6pm. There is no deposit required for Bid Packages and all printing costs incurred by bidders are the responsibility of the bidders and are non-refundable. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond, a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract award, and a Maintenance Bond. All Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with SB409 (WV Contractor’s Licensing Act). All General Contractors shall provide a copy of their WV Contractor’s license and include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form.
