Notice is hereby given that KINGSTON MINING, INC., P O BOX 69, 622 PACKS BRANCH ROAD, PAX, WV 25904 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number U300601 in order to punchout an existing deep mine for ventilation purposes in the Douglas Seam of Coal, and to construct additional drainage and sediment control devices. Total acreage added with this incidental boundary revision is 4.42 acres.
The proposed Incidental Boundary Revision 11 ventilation punchout facilities is proposed within 100 feet of Raleigh County, Route 5 approximately 1.2 miles from the intersection of Route 5 with County Route 1. You may request a public hearing with regard to the location of these facilities with relationship to the proposed County Road should be directed to the DEP at the address above.
The revised permit will discharge into Road Branch of/and White Oak Creek, Ewing Fork and Toney Fork all of Clear Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River; Milburn Creek and Shotgun Hollow of Paint Creek, all of Kanawha River and is located 4.5 Miles Northwest of Pax in Valley and Plateau Districts of Fayette County and Clear Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81o18’36” and Latitude 37o57’57” (Coordinates from USGS topographic Map).
