Notice is hereby given that PERFORMANCE COAL COMPANY, LLC, PO BOX 457, 370 PACKSVILLE/MARFORK ROAD, WHITESVILLE, WV 25209 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV, 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number U306087 in order to change the Post Mining Land Use from Fish and Wildlife to Forestland.
The revised permit will discharge into Hazy Creek of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River (Receiving Stream) of KANAWHA RV (Major Subbasin) and is located 3.0(miles), southwest (Direction) of Naoma (Nearest PO), in the Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81°33’24” and Latitude 37°51’17” (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until 3/14/2025, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication.
