NOTICE OF PUBLICATION
Please take notice that a Petition for Adoption has been filed in the Circuit Court of Hampshire County, West Virginia, by Jacob T. Tarantino and Erika N. Tarantino, requesting that they be allowed to adopt A.T. A hearing on said Petition will be held in the Circuit Courtroom of the Hampshire County Courthouse on the 7th day of April, 2025 at the hour of 11:45 a.m. Any person having an objection to the adoption must appear at the hearing on the aforesaid date a the Hampshire County Circuit Courthouse or file a statement in opposition to the adoption by mailing such statement to the Circuit Clerk of Hampshire County, Hampshire County Judicial Center, 50 South High Street, Romney, West Virginia 25757, and the Petitioner’s Counsel, Grant M. Sherman, at his address of P.O. Box 1810, Romney, West Virginia 26757, on or before the 1st day of April, 2025.
This notice shall inform that Jesse R. Popp, who is last believed to be residing in Mineral County, West Virginia, that his parental rights, if any, may be terminated in these proceedings and that such person may appear and defend such rights within the required time after such service. This notice shall also provide that if the person upon whom notice is properly served fails to respond within the required time after its service, said person may not appear in or receive further notice of the adoption proceedings.
WHEREUPON, it is ORDERED by the Circuit Court of Hampshire County, West Virginia, this 11th day of March, 2025, that the Petitioners caused a copy of the Order to entered and inserted in a newspaper of general circulation in Mineral County, West Virginia, Hampshire County, West Virginia and Raleigh County, West Virginia pursuant to West Virginia Code §59-3-2 of the Class I, Legal Advertisement to be published two (2) times.
