NOTICE
IN THE FAMILY COURT OF HANCOCK COUNTY WEST VIRGINIA – IN THE MATTER OF: CIVIL ACTION NO. 2025-FIG-1, PETITION FOR EXPEDITED APPOINTMENT OF GUARDIAN FOR MINORS AND THEIR ESTATE ON A TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT BASIS. Pursuant to Rule 4(e) of The West Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure, this is notice is to Eldrin Raynard Knox, the biological father of Carolina Tr’Nay Knox, a child born on October 28, 2011, and to Quardricus Tywon Register, the biological father of Ariyanna Tawon Register, a child born on April 6, 2008, and to any other parties required notice by law, that on the 20th day of July, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., the Petitioner, Sarah Elizabeth Jones, will bring on for hearing the Petition for Expedited Appointment of Guardian for Minors and Their Estate on a Temporary and Permanent Basis before the Honorable Joyce D. Chernenko, Family Court Judge of Hancock County, in her Courtroom located in the Hancock County Family Court at 104 N. Court Street, New Cumberland, WV 26047. The object of this Petition is to appoint the Petitioner as legal guardian and curator of the minor children subject to this Petition. Failure to respond to this notice and/or failure to appear and defend his/her rights, if any, within 30 days of the first date of publication of this notice may result in the termination of any right to assert a claim or contest this Petition and termination of custodial rights to the minor children. If you or any other interested party fails to respond to this notice within said 30 days, then said person may not receive further notice of the infant guardianship proceedings. A copy of said Petition may be obtained at the Hancock County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and an Answer may be filed with the same office, P.O. Box 428, 102 N. Court Street, New Cumberland, WV 26047. Counsel for the Petitioner is April Manypenny Raines, Esq., 300 Carolina Avenue, Chester, WV 26034. After due consideration of this matter, it is ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED, that this notice be duly published as a Class II advertisement (publish once per week for two (2) consecutive weeks) in a local newspaper of general circulation in the County in which the proceedings are being held and in accordance with the law.
